New Rainbow

I keep staring at the sky
Trying to find the lost rainbow
Trying to capture who I once was
Recapturing my spirit from life's chaos

Waiting for the clouds to rain again
Hoping for my sun to shine again
Dense clouds keep looming
I keep searching for my silver lining

A drop falls
The clouds start to part
The sun shines
Is this a new start?

There's my lost rainbow once again
This is my next chapter, shall we begin?

Giving Up

For a fleeting moment there
I though I had a shot
I tried to grab it but found thin air
leaving me in a lonely spot

I tried it all to find you
But ended up hitting a wall
My ways to reach you being few
I couldn't help but feel small

Determined I tried again
Sending messages in a bottle
Hoping it wouldn't be in vain
Thinking it would at least cause a wobble

Truth is,I failed
Not for the first time since I was born
Sometimes you emotions have to be jailed
Just give up and move on

Violent Tranquil

Flying through transparent rainbows
Stranger colors appear
A passenger travelling infinite realms
Climbing trees without stems

Screaming through solid hollows
Malleable shapes emerge
A wanderer from another star
Trapping moons into a jar

Falling into a deep plateau
Fleeting forces pull
An explorer of transient fantasy
Pulling apart the elaborate tapestry

Swimming through the arid waters
Reticent currents move
A sailor from a parallel time
Quietly humming an uncanny rhyme

Rhymes

I love rhymes. Rhymes make poetry so much more interesting.  It does not matter if it is forced or contrived. I am just not comfortable if it does not rhyme.  I have tried a variety of rhyme schemes on a variety of topics here . I have bent some rules in the name of poetic freedom though. Read on then!
